Information we collect

• Inquiries and quotes: your name, email address, phone number if supplied, project ZIP code, product interest, preferred size or options, and the message or project details you provide.
• Orders and accounts: contact details, billing and delivery addresses, items ordered, installation selections, order notes, account details, and transaction or payment-status records when you use these features.
• Product reviews: if you submit a review, we receive your review, rating, name, and email address. Your review and display name may be published; your email address is not displayed with the review. Please leave private contact details out of public reviews.
• Technical information: our website and server logs may record your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referring addresses, timestamps, and security-related activity.
• Order referral information: WooCommerce’s order-attribution feature records referral and campaign information, entry pages, device information, and page counts during a visit. If an order is placed, referral information can be saved with that order.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, passwords, full payment-card numbers, bank-account details, or credit-application documents through our contact, playground, or shed quote forms.

How we use information

We use information to respond to questions, prepare quotes, discuss customization and financing options, manage orders and accounts, arrange delivery or installation, provide warranty and customer support, maintain business records, and protect the website from misuse. Order-referral information helps us understand how customers reached our store.

Contact and quote submissions are stored in our website’s private inquiry records for authorized staff to review. Providing details for an inquiry does not enroll you in a marketing subscription.

Who may receive information

When needed to handle your request or purchase, relevant information may be provided to:

• Sales, manufacturing, and fulfillment partners: Johnnys Backyard LLC, Backyard Adventures, Shedfather, Backyard Discovery, delivery companies, and installation or warranty-service providers, as relevant to the product. This may include your name, contact details, delivery or project address, order details, and project requirements.
• Service providers: website hosting, email, technical support, and business-service providers that help us operate the site and respond to customers.
• Payment and financing providers: the provider involved in your transaction or financing application, where applicable. Synchrony handles its credit applications and financing decisions under its own terms and privacy notices. Our inquiry forms are not credit applications.
• Authorities and professional advisers: where disclosure is required by law or needed to address fraud, legal claims, or the protection of people, property, and business rights.

Google and other external services described below may receive information directly from your browser when their content loads. Their own privacy policies explain their handling of that information.

Cookies and similar storage

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses cookies and browser storage for shopping, account access, form-session feedback, and referral measurement. Some appear only after you use a feature. Cookie names can include a unique suffix, and browser settings may change how long they remain.

Referral-measurement cookies serve a different purpose from cookies needed for your cart or sign-in. The current site uses WooCommerce’s built-in order attribution; Google Analytics and Meta advertising pixels are not currently enabled. Read more about WooCommerce cookies and order attribution.

Maps, fonts, and external services

Google Maps: the Contact page includes an embedded map. When it loads, your browser connects to Google, which can receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may read or set cookies according to its services and your settings. The map is provided by Google, not hosted entirely on our website. See Google’s Privacy Policy and cookie information.

Google Fonts: the website loads fonts from Google’s servers. This sends the font request and associated network information, including your IP address and browser headers, to Google. Fonts are separate from the Google Maps embed and our shopping cookies.

Gravatar: WordPress can display review-profile images through Gravatar. If used, an identifier derived from a reviewer’s email address may be sent to Gravatar to find an image, and displaying that image connects visitors’ browsers to the provider. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

External links: links to manufacturers, maps, financing providers, and other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy practices. Review those notices before submitting information on another site.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can block or delete cookies through your browser’s settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect cart contents, sign-in, saved preferences, and form-session messages. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop every type of network request, including requests for fonts or embedded content.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, and an opt-out of certain processing, such as sale, targeted advertising, or specified profiling where those activities occur. These rights can have exceptions, including information needed for an active order, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.

Explain your request and give us enough information to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority before acting.

We will review requests and respond within the deadlines required by applicable law. If we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider through the same contact methods and identify the message as a privacy appeal. Retention and security

Inquiry, customer, order, and account records are kept as needed for their business purpose, including responding to requests, completing orders, providing support, accounting, tax records, and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the record and applicable obligations; there is no single deletion period for all information. Cookie expiration does not automatically delete an inquiry or order record.

Inquiry records are restricted to authorized store staff through website access controls. No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use the official payment or financing provider’s process for sensitive transaction information.

Children’s privacy

Our shopping, financing, and inquiry services are intended for adults purchasing backyard products. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our website, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as our website, services, or information practices change. Updates will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Any additional notices or choices required by applicable law will be provided when relevant.
